This witch doll has the same body as all of our Kozu Palm Pals and so her hair cap can be swapped with any of the other dolls in the mini amigurumi dolls series. If you wanted to crochet a larger witch doll, you could try her in chunky yarn! She’s commonly been crocheted using worsted weight yarn and just comes out slightly larger. We made her with DK yarn and a 2.5 mm hook – but any yarn with the relevant hook will do. Zeena the small amigurumi witch doll is approximately 4.5 inches tall. So, while she may not be the scariest Halloween amigurumi, our tiny crochet witch doll may just be the cutest! At 4.5 inches tall (without the hat), she works up really fast, is easy to make, and is oh so cute! But since reading Harry Potter, I love imagining this underground world of witches and wizards that are just like us – except that they can use spells to clean up the house, instead of a vaccuum cleaner. I think I was traumatised from the bad witch in the Wizard of Oz (and those scary monkeys!). We were thinking about what costume make and we decided that we had to crochet a small witch doll! I love little witches! But, to be honest, as a kid, I really didn’t. So what better way than to give our dolls a costume for trick-or-treating!
